A Busy Day...Fashion Show 09

Today was a busy day for contestants as they began checking out of their rooms early this morning and then headed off to the St. Paul Elementary School to begin rehearsing for this morning’s Fashion Show. “Boogie Till’ the Cows Come Home,” was this years theme for the Pageant Fashion Show emceed by PRCA Announcer, Jody Carper.

The contestants opened the fashion show with a dance number to Clay Walker’s, “Boogie Till’ the Cows Come Home and then modeled a western gown, gave their 2-minute state speech and answered three impromptu questions. The Fashion Show then concluded with our 7th Annual Scholarship Auction bringing in over $1500.

The Elementary gym was adorned with dancing barn animals and looked like an old barn ready for a party, complete with a disco ball! Over 25 visiting rodeo queens and princesses joined us during our modeling portion of our fashion show and represented their fair and/or rodeos.
The Fashion Show takes the help of many hands—thanks to the contestants’ families for pitching in at the end with clean up. It was great to see so many of them just join right in in helping the committee get cleaned up and put away. It just goes to show you what great contestants and families we have joining us this week.
